Teaming with our local schools and partner agencies, we have managed to identify vulnerable families and individuals which have been referred onto our Winter Assistance Scheme; allowing us to provide warm duvets, winter wear, shoes, thermos flasks and sleeping bags to those who need them most. There have been a lot of late nights behind the scenes but all the hard work has helped to make life for some a little brighter. Our Chairman, Cllr. Cheryl Raynor says; "With the winter months seeing harsh temperatures and energy bills skyrocketing, we have tried to provide Fleetwood's families and individuals who are most in need with items to aid in their warmth. It's horrendous in 2022/2023 that we are having to provide families and individuals with warm clothing and other items to keep them warm but we cannot sit by and allow people to suffer when we can help. We have assisted as best we can under the circumstances and shall always try to do right by our residents."
