In Memory of Councillor Brian Crawford - A True Gentleman
24th of April, 2023
It is with deepest regret that we learn of the passing of Warren Ward Councillor, Cllr. Brian Crawford. Brian was a deeply professional man who truly cared for Fleetwood and its residents – he was always active in wanting improvement for our town and always helped where he could; regularly attending meetings, community events and networking to keep abreast of any issues within Fleetwood and championing for its betterment.
A true gentleman, he was always incredibly friendly with staff and fellow Councillors during his position at Fleetwood Town Council and was warmly welcomed in the offices particularly due to his amiable nature which always came with a big, broad smile. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing of his endeavours and of his tales of past including playing the big, bass drum for the Army Cadets in the 1950s and about his time at Millom Council where he was so proud of all he had achieved.
Brian will be greatly missed.
“Brian was a wonderful Councillor who will be deeply missed within the Fleetwood Town Council team and also by Fleetwood people. He is leaving a legacy behind owing to his hard work and community care. All of us at Fleetwood Town Council send our condolences and deepest sympathies to Brian’s wife, family and friends.” – Cllr. Cheryl Raynor, Chairman of Fleetwood Town Council.
